COMMERCIAL SHADE STRUCTURE

64.8kW, Coral Gables
From concept to design, this project transcended mere solar panel installation; it was about showcasing it as an educational tool for future generations. Situated at the school, its design seamlessly integrated solar technology into daily student life, doubling as both a sustainable source of energy and shelter during drop-offs and pickups. Zyscovich's meticulous planning not only garnered crucial LEED accreditation points but also ensured a harmonious fusion with the existing architectural landscape. Taking into consideration that this project was part of significant renovation efforts by the school, integrating the existing building structure was a crucial aspect of the aesthetics and material selection. The project encountered several significant challenges beyond ensuring aesthetic appeal and seamless integration with the existing structure. These included accommodating long spans between main support columns to clear existing underground utilities, meeting height requirements for emergency vehicles, and addressing the installation within a High-Velocity Hurricane Zone.

Facing fierce winds on the Miami waterfront, our team engineered a groundbreaking solar installation. Collaborating with structural engineers, module manufacturers, and racking specialists, we adapted carport-grade racking for rooftop mounting—a first-of-its-kind solution. This complex design, meeting both local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) standards and our own rigorous requirements, represents a remarkable achievement in modern engineering.

COMMUNITY IMPACT - PV

3 MW, Altamonte Springs
This 3 MW solar installation at AdventHealth’s corporate campus enhances healthcare sustainability by reducing carbon emissions and ensuring reliable power for critical facilities. As a leading healthcare provider, AdventHealth is setting an example in energy resilience, demonstrating how hospitals and medical institutions can leverage solar to lower operational costs, strengthen energy security, and support community health with uninterrupted access to essential services.

COMMUNITY IMPACT - Battery
