In a matter of minutes, construction workers can fasten a solar panel to one of hundreds of newly built arrays in Barefoot Bay. And by March of next year, Florida Power and Light officials say that the solar plant will provide power to 15,000 homes.
By the time the plant south of Micco Road is complete, workers will have installed over 330,000 panels, according to FPL CEO Eric Silagy.
