FPL re-opened the application period for its 2011 solar rebate program at 8:30 a.m. this morning.  At 10:30 a.m., all of the 2011 rebate funds for the business PV program have been reserved.  Applicants who did not receive a rebate for 2011 can apply for a 2012 rebate beginning in October of this year.

However, there is currently still $1,907,377 available for the residential PV program.  Residential customers who are interested in installing solar systems in their homes can apply at http://www.fpl.com/landing/solar_rebate/residential.shtml. Rebates will be available on a first-come, first-served.

Rebates for solar water heating for both residential and business are still available.
